ConCal for Canva

ConCal is a content calendar for planning, writing and scheduling social media posts. With Canva connected, any post on your calendar can be designed in Canva at the size that post needs, and the design comes back onto the post when you click Return.

How it works

  1. Create or open a post. Click the + on any day of your ConCal calendar, or open a post that's already there, and pick its platform and shape.
  2. Click Design in Canva. It's in the Graphic section of the post. The first time, Canva asks you to allow ConCal. After that, a new design opens straight away at the post's exact size.
  3. Design it in Canva. Use Canva as you normally would. If the post already has an image, the design starts from it.
  4. Click Return. At the top left in Canva. The finished design lands on the post in ConCal, ready to schedule.

You can also right-click any post on the calendar and choose Design in Canva.

What comes back

  • Carousels. A design with several pages comes back as a carousel, one slide per page.
  • Video. Video designs come back as MP4 for Reels, TikTok and YouTube.
  • LinkedIn documents. A multi-page design for LinkedIn can come back as a PDF document post.
  • Update from Canva. Changed the design later? Click Update from Canva on the post to bring back the latest version.

What you need

A ConCal account and a Canva account. Designs are created in your own Canva account, so they're there to reuse.

Disconnect

In any post's Graphic section, click Disconnect on the Canva card. ConCal deletes its stored Canva access straight away. Designs stay in your Canva account, and images already on your posts stay on them.

Your data

ConCal only creates a design when you click Design in Canva, and only exports the designs it created for your posts. It doesn't ask Canva for your profile or your list of designs. Canva access is stored on ConCal's servers, never in your browser. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Help

If a design doesn't come back or Canva won't connect, email hello@concal.ai with what you were doing and roughly when, and we'll look into it.
